First signs of growth
Well, having just had a look at the seeds on the cotton wool I can see signs of the seed case cracking open. So soon there will be some growth. Pictures will follow as soon as there is something to see.

Setting of the seeds part 2

Setting of the seeds part 1
Ok, this is setting of the seeds part 1. I have set the dragon plant seeds on a bed of cotton wool in a plastic container and gave it plenty of water, then placed it on the windowsill above the radiator to give it plenty of warmth. Hopefully in a few days there will be some germination.
I will set the other seeds in the compost soon and get them going so they have the same amount of growing time.

Dragon Fruit opening
Ok this is the dragon fruit that I have spit in two. As you can see the pulp that you can eat is an off white colour, doesn't taste of much though.
The black dots are the seeds and there are plenty of them so if it all goes wrong there are plenty of chances.
I thought would do it in two ways.
1. In soil as it would normally grow. Not really going to see much as they are covered.
2. On cotton wool, this way you will be able to see all that goes on.
The Dragon Plant Fruit
As this is the first post I will show what a Dragon Fruit is if you have never seen one. This is a picture of it as it is fresh from Tesco supermarket.
It has pink skin with pink and green scale looking ridges hence the dragon fruit name.
Tomorrow I will be cutting it open and showing the inside ready to gather the seeds.
